Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Shellular mobile app, the Shellular CLI (shellular), or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by Foxbiz Software Pvt Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", "our").

2. Description of the Service

Shellular is a developer tool that allows you to connect a mobile device to a development machine you own or are authorised to access. The Service comprises:

  • Shellular CLI — a host agent you run on your machine that exposes terminal, filesystem, port management, and system-monitoring capabilities over an encrypted relay.
  • Shellular App — the mobile application you use to connect to a running CLI instance.
  • Relay Infrastructure — servers that facilitate encrypted pass-through communication between the app and the CLI.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by your country's laws) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Service only to access machines that you own or have explicit, authorised permission to access. You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to access any machine without authorisation.
  • Use the Service to transmit malware, ransomware, or any other malicious code.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the relay infrastructure or the encryption layer.
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, overload, or impair the relay servers or interfere with other users' access.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the relay infrastructure to third parties without our written consent.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to exfiltrating data, conducting cyberattacks, or facilitating unauthorized surveillance.

6. Intellectual Property

The Shellular name, logo, and app interface are owned by Foxbiz Software Pvt Ltd. The CLI source code is released under its open-source licence (see the repository for details). Nothing in these Terms grants you rights in our trademarks or branding.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. As described there, we collect no personal data and all relay traffic is end-to-end encrypted.

8. Third-Party Services

Shellular may integrate with third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, etc.) and your use of those integrations is subject to the respective provider's terms and privacy policies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

You are solely responsible for the security of the machine(s) you connect via Shellular, including keeping the CLI updated, controlling who has physical access to your QR code, and managing the --dir root appropriately.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FOXBIZ SOFTWARE PVT LTD AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO YOUR MACHINE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR USD 10 IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Foxbiz Software Pvt Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with or without notice. We may also update these Terms. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
